Mother Hospital takes pride in serving its patients, staff and visitors the highest-quality food from our dietary department. The dietary department provides nutritious, attractive, and palatable food to patients, staff, and visitors, while maintaining high standards of sanitation, production, and service to all customers. Members of the dietary staff visit patients one-on-one before meals to ensure that the food tolerances, preferences, ethnic, and religious needs of all patients are met on a daily basis. Room service is available for our Women’s Care unit and pediatric patients, where they can order off of the “restaurant-style” menu at their convenience.

Hospital Nutrition Services

The Dietary Services Department is staffed with one full-time registered dietitian (RD). The Registered Dietitian not only ensures that nutritional needs are being met, but also that patients receive proper nutrition counseling if necessary. Nutrition education classes and counseling is available for people of the community who are interested in weight loss, healthy eating, and diabetes education.
